We’re moving to Doha! Well… at least for the next 3 months. With over 450 companies from all over the world applying for a spot in the first cohort of the Qatar SportsTech accelerator program, we feel honored as one of the ten startups selected to join.

A few months ago, when we had learned that Startupbootcamp and the Qatar Development Bank were teaming up to launch an accelerator program dedicated to elevating the worldwide sports industry to new heights, we couldn’t miss the chance to apply. At this time, we had just finished building our MVP and had been gathering interest from a couple of sports teams, but it was so early in the game we didn’t really expect to make the cut. To our surprise, right before the December holidays, we received an email with an invitation to join their Selection Days in Doha, with twenty other startups.

After 48 hours of non-stop pitching to the partners of the program (including BeIN Sports, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy aka the organization in charge of the FIFA World Cup 2022) ten startups were selected, and fortunately, we were one of them. Within the time frame of fourteen days, we have been gearing up to temporarily relocate from Los Angeles to Doha for the next 16 weeks.

At Creative Bot we want to change the way sports organizations and their fans engage on digital platforms at scale. It's an ambitious project and it will take time, focus, and commitment but we believe that this program will gave us the tools, inspiration and mentors needed to help us on our way to create the future of fan engagement through conversational experiences.

We feel that this journey is really beginning today and by getting out of our comfort zone, in a totally new environment, emerged in a new country and culture, we are getting just what we need to get things really started.
